I am Associate Professor (Profesor Titular) of Sociology in the Department of Social Sciences at the University Carlos III of Madrid and member of the Carlos III-Juan March Institute of Social Sciences (IC3JM). My research addresses the relationship between social inequalities, state structures and political conflicts viewed in comparative perspective. It covers three main areas: European integration, gender & politics and social policy.
